Hello,

My name is Eduardo Osorio Juarez. I've been a student at SRJC for three years and a student employee for two. I've worked in various departments in student services like Student Affairs, Equity, Outreach, and Non-credit. I am a Latin American Studies and Political Science major. This is definitely far off from my original plan of becoming a Radiology Technician. My interests are in leadership and team building. Which is what led me to be involved with the Movimiento Studiantil Chicanista de Aztlan(M.E.Ch.A) organization since I first registered at SRJC 3 years ago. I've stayed consistent with my academics, worked on campus and took on leadership roles, all have been preparation for me to reach my short term goal of leading SRJC's student government. I am the current Student Body President for this upcoming 2018 -2019 school year. I am excited to get started because this will be my last year at SRJC and I'm preparing to transfer to a four year university. My transfer goal is to be admitted to UC Santa Cruz where I will work towards achieving a Bachelors in Latin American Studies and Political Science. I've gained experience and confidence during my time at SRJC; and I believe my time in student services, leadership roles, and maintaining consistency is preparing me for my long term goal of becoming a program coordinator in public education.

First and foremost I believe student success coaching is about assisting students figure out what questions they want to ask by creating a welcoming space. I am a lifelong learner. Assisting those who need help also helps me understand, teach and grow.
